Giants man­ager Bruce Bochy announced Mon­day that Tim Lince­cum, the San Fran­cisco Giants ace, will bat­tle Cliff Lee of the Texas Rangers in Game 1 of the World Series.

With the MLB bet­ting lines at –126, Lines­Maker has Texas Rangers as the favorite against San Fran­cisco Giants (+116) to win the Game 1 of World Series.

Bochy dis­closed his plans of send­ing Lince­cum, the two-time Cy Young Award win­ner, in the first game on Wednes­day at AT&T Park in San Fran­cisco. He also men­tioned that right-hander Matt Cain will play in Game 2.

Ron Wash­ing­ton, Rangers Man­ager, said that left-handed ace Lee would open the World Series, while C.J. Wil­son will play in Game 2, fol­lowed by and Colby Lewis in Game 3.

Regard­less of an incon­sis­tent out­ing in Game 6 of the National League Cham­pi­onship Series against Philadel­phia, which they ulti­mately won to claim the NL pen­nant, Jonathan Sanchez will start the Game 3 for the Giants in Arling­ton, Texas.

The San Fran­cisco skip­per said that Madi­son Bum­gar­ner would begin the Game 4 for the Giants.
