NBA Betting: Boston Ousts Miami
Collectively scoring 39 points, Ray Allen and Paul Pierce helped the Boston Celtics to rally to an 88–80 victory over Miami on Tuesday.
Attracting nearly 55% of the NBA betting action, the Boston Celtics, with betting lines at +1, were the clear favorites against Miami among LinesMaker bettors, if not the oddmakers. They lived up to the expectations of the majority of bettors by beating the point-favorite Miami.
Allen and Pierce scored 20 and 19 points, respectively, while Rajon Rondo added 17 assists to lead the defending Eastern Conference champions to a win over Miami.
The game highlighted the debut of the new-look Heat’s “Big Three,” LeBron James, Chris Bosh and Dwyane Wade, in the NBA’s 2010-11 regular season.
This was the most-anticipated NBA opener in the history of league after the Heat inked reigning two-time NBA MVP James along with all-star power forward Bosh to unite with Wade. Apparently, Miami gave contracts worth $327 million to the “Big Three. However, the game went in favor of Boston, as Allen scored on five 3-pointers to seal the win.
James made an impressive debut for the Heat, as he pulled in 31 points on 10-of-21 shooting. However, Wade and Bosh scored just 13 and 8 points apiece, and went just 7-of-27 from the field collectively.
