Allen and Pierce scored 20 and 19 points, respec­tively, while Rajon Rondo added 17 assists to lead the defend­ing East­ern Con­fer­ence cham­pi­ons to a win over Miami.

The game high­lighted the debut of the new-look Heat’s “Big Three,” LeBron James, Chris Bosh and Dwyane Wade, in the NBA’s 2010-11 reg­u­lar season.

This was the most-anticipated NBA opener in the his­tory of league after the Heat inked reign­ing two-time NBA MVP James along with all-star power for­ward Bosh to unite with Wade.  Appar­ently, Miami gave con­tracts worth $327 mil­lion to the “Big Three. How­ever, the game went in favor of Boston, as Allen scored on five 3-pointers to seal the win.

James made an impres­sive debut for the Heat, as he pulled in 31 points on 10-of-21 shoot­ing. How­ever, Wade and Bosh scored just 13 and 8 points apiece, and went just 7-of-27 from the field collectively.
