NBA Betting: Miami Falls Against Underdog New York
Carmelo Anthony chipped in with 29 points to ignite the New York Knicks’s 91–86 win over the Miami Heat on Sunday.
Attracting nearly 70% of the NBA betting action, the New York Knicks, with NBA lines at +10, were the clear favorites against Miami among LinesMaker bettors, if not the oddmakers. New York lived up to the expectations of the majority of bettors by defeating the point favorite Heat.
Anthony hauled down nine rebounds for New York. Joining the Knicks along with Anthony in a trade with Denver last week, Chauncey Billups scored 16 points in the win.
Amare Stoudemire scored 16 points to go with 10 rebounds and prevented a potential go-ahead layup by LeBron James in the last 7.9 seconds to seal the win.
James pulled in 27 points, seven rebounds, and five assists for the Heat. Chris Bosh scored 20 points and grabbed 12 rebounds for Miami, which lost two out of three contests.
