Orlando Wins Over NBA Betting Favorite New York
The Orlando Magic dominated the New York Knicks 116–110 on Tuesday, courtesy of Jameer Nelson who pulled in 14 of his 26 points in fourth frame.
Drawing around 75% of the NBA betting action, the New York Knicks, with betting lines at +7, were the favorites against Orlando among LinesMaker bettors, if not the oddmakers. However, New York failed to live up to the expectations of the majority of bettors as it lost to the point favorite Magic.
Nelson scored on a 3-pointer with just 5 minutes left to help the Magic take a 106–97 lead in their comeback victory. The trey highlighted a 13–5 run as Orlando overcame an 84–79 deficit.
Dwight Howard pulled in 30 points and hauled down 16 rebounds for the Magic, who improved to 5–2 to complete their seven game homestand. Ryan Anderson contributed 16 points in the win.
Both Chauncey Billups and Amare Stoudemire scored 30 points for the Knicks. Carmelo Anthony added 25 points for New York.
