MLB Betting: Yankees Overpower Texas
The New York Yankees managed to stay in the running as they topped Texas 7–2 in Game 5 of the ALCS on Wednesday, as Nick Swisher and Robinson Cano had back-to-back homers.
Attracting nearly 65% of the MLB betting action, the New York Yankees were the clear favorites among LinesMaker bettors. With the betting lines at –161, the Yankees lived up to the expectations of the majority of bettors by beating the Rangers (+151).

Backing CC Sabathia, Jorge Posada drove in a single with two hits. Sabathia (1–0) pulled through an inconsistent outing as he allowed a pair of runs on 11 hits over six innings, striking out seven with no walks.
Posada and Granderson recorded RBI singles and outfielder Jeff Francoeur made a fielding error, that helped the Yankees get a 3–0 lead off Texas starter C.J. Wilson (0–1) in the second. Swisher and Cano contributed with back-to-back shots in the third inning to drive the Yankees to the win.
Matt Treanor homered and collected two runs for Texas, who are looking forward to makint it to the World Series for first time in franchise history by winning Game 6.
