Texas Overwhelms MLB Betting Favorite Yankees

With nearly 60% of the MLB bet­ting action on their side, the New York Yan­kees were the clear favorites against Texas with the major­ity of Lines­Maker bet­tors. With the bet­ting lines at –159, the Yan­kees turned out to be a huge dis­ap­point­ment for bet­tors as they lost to under­dog Texas (+149).

The Texas Rangers over­whelmed the New York Yan­kees 10–3 on Tues­day, as they moved to within a game of their first trip to the World Series.

The Rangers reg­is­tered four homers in Game 4 of the Amer­i­can League Cham­pi­onship Series at Yan­kee Sta­dium. Bengie Molina reg­is­tered a go-ahead three-run homer in the sixth inning, while Josh Hamil­ton and Nel­son Cruz added two and one homer likewise.

Allow­ing five runs on six hits, A.J. Bur­nett (0–1) com­pleted six innings for the Yan­kees. Fin­ish­ing 2-for-4, Robin­son Cano con­tributed with a solo home run for the Yanks.

The credit of the win went to Derek Hol­land (1–0) who had 3 2/3 score­less innings, repriev­ing Tommy Hunter who gave up three runs in 3 1/3 innings. Nev­er­the­less, the Texas bullpen con­trolled the pow­er­ful Yan­kee offense at-large.
