The Indi­anapo­lis Colts took vengeance on an opening-day loss in Hous­ton with a 30–17 win over the Tex­ans on Mon­day, cour­tesy of Pey­ton Man­ning who threw a pair of touch­down passes. Man­ning com­pleted 26-of-45 passes for 268 yards.

Attract­ing almost 60% of the NFL bet­ting action, the Indi­anapo­lis Colts were the clear favorites to beat Hous­ton among Lines­Maker bet­tors. With the NFL bet­ting lines at –5.5, Indi­anapo­lis made most bet­tors happy by best­ing the Texans.

The Colts (5–2) were play­ing with­out the All-Pro tight end Dal­las Clark, receiver Austin Col­lie and run­ning back Joseph Addai due to injuries. Despite that, the team put up an amaz­ing per­for­mance, as Mike Hart ran for a career-high 84 yards for the defend­ing AFC champs.

Play­ing in place of Clark in the lineup, tight end Jacob Tamme grabbed six passes for 64 yards. Reg­gie Wayne recorded four passes for 39 yards with a score, while Adam Vinatieri posted three field goals for the Colts.

Strug­gling in the game, Matt Schaub went for 22-of-38 for 201 yards with one touch­down and an inter­cep­tion for the Tex­ans. Slip­ping to 4–3, the Tex­ans are hold­ing the third posi­tion cur­rently, between the Titans and the 4–4 Jaguars.
