Penguin Earns NHL’s Top Weekly Honor
Last week saw Pittsburgh center Sidney Crosby taking home the NHL’s First Star of the Week honor. Fifth year star Crosby registered his second hat trick of the season for the Penguins against Rangers on Saturday. His three goals and two assists helped the Penguins net a 8 – 3 victory over the New York Rangers.
Crosby gained No. 1 star recognition for games played November 23 – 29. The second star went to New Jersey goal tender Martin Brodeur who went 3–0 last week, allowing one goal in each game with a .963 save percentage. Third star honors went to Toronto forward Niklas Hagman, who scored fives goals in three games, including two consecutive goals in wins over Florida and Tamp Bay.
The popularity Crosby in player prop betting at LinesMaker has been steadily increasing over the last two years.
