Saints and Colts Remain Undefeated

The Indi­anapo­lis Colts and New Orleans Saints both remain unde­feated in week 13 of NFL 2009. While it was an easy win for the Colts, the Saints found them­selves work­ing a lit­tle harder but ended up vic­to­ri­ous, 33 – 30, in over­time aided by the Wash­ing­ton Red­skins field goal kicker.

The Colts hosted the Titans who had won five straight games until this defeat. The Titans were not liv­ing up to their name as the Colts marched down the field and scored a touch­down in less than two min­utes. After a Titans field goal, to make it 7 – 3, the Colts stepped up the pace and stretched their lead to 21 – 3 on a one-yard touch­down run by Joseph Addai and then a four-yard touch­down pass from Pey­ton Man­ning to Austin Col­lie. The Titans tried to pull back but the unde­feated Colts fin­ished up at 27 – 17.

Only six other teams in NFL his­tory have started 12–0. One of those teams was the 2005 Colts, they are at odds of 2–1 at Lines­Maker to win Super Bowl 2010.
