Underdog Bills Stampede Dolphins

The underdog Buffalo Bills broke their three-game losing streak last night with a 31–14 win over the Miami Dolphins who were –180 on the money line. Terrell Owens sealed the Bills victory when he caught a 51-yard touchdown pass with 2:23 left and gave interim coach Perry Fewell his first win. Perhaps this result shows that Fewell’s appointment should have come sooner, he seems to have brought a new found energy to the Bills.

The game also saw a first for kicker Rian Lindell, who was good on a career-best 56-yard field goal with 3:35 left putting the Bills ahead for the first time at 17–14. This kick, along with Owen’s touchdown catch helped earn the Bills a massive 24 points in the fourth quarter. The fourth quarter theatrics and victory were a definite disappointment to the majority of the betting public who had backed the heavily favored Dolphins.
