Underdog Bills Stampede Dolphins

The underdog Buffalo Bills broke their three-game losing streak last night with a 31–14 win over the Miami Dolphins who were –180 on the money line. Terrell Owens sealed the Bills victory when he caught a 51-yard touchdown pass with 2:23 left and gave interim coach Perry Fewell his first win. Perhaps this result shows that Fewell’s appointment should have come sooner, he seems to have brought a new found energy to the Bills. The game also saw a first for kicker Rian Lindell, who was good on a career-best 56-yard field goal with 3:35 left putting the Bills ahead for the...

Bengals Oblige Bettors with First Division Sweep

The Bengals were a heavy favorite and a popular betting choice this Sunday with nearly 65% of the betting action on them to cover against Cleveland. The Bengals obliged covering the spread with their 16 – 7 win over the Browns. They also completed their first division sweep through the AFC North for the first time in franchise history. Newcomer Larry Johnson led the Bengals to their victory. Johnson was given the ball 22 times and finished with 107 yards. “I’m just glad they trust me to go in there, especially with the division and the playoffs...

Colts Perfect the Comeback

The Indianapolis Colts are mastering the art of the perfect comeback. Their 35 – 27 victory against the Houston Texans has sealed the AFC South for them, and led them to their 20th straight regular season win. They need one more win to match the New England Patriots record 21-game run and that will be decided next weekend when they play Tennessee at home. It looked as though the Texans would clinch the game with a 13-point lead at halftime, but Peyton Manning showed his MVP talent throwing three touchdown passes and saving the game. “We don’t...

Yellow Jackets & Bettors Upset by Bulldogs

The betting public, who put nearly 80% of the betting volume on Georgia Tech, were likely upset too. The Yellow Jackets were heavy favorites at LinesMaker. Saturday saw Georgia give Georgia Tech a run for their money. They rushed for 339 yards to upset the seventh-ranked Yellow Jackets 30–24 and changing the face of ACC championship game. Washaun Ealey rushed for 183 yards, while Caleb King rambled for 166 yards and two touchdowns. The Bulldogs (7–5) after a terrible year have reclaimed state bragging rights and gave the Yellow Jackets (10–2)...

Sooners Upset Cowboys

The 11th ranked Oklahoma State suffered an unexpected loss against Oklahoma by a score of 27 – 0. The Sooners season has been dreadful but they have rectified that by taking Oklahoma State out of contention for it’s first appearance at the BSC. DeMarco Murray ran for two touchdowns, Ryan Broyles returned a punt 88 yards for a score to take Oklahoma to their victory. The Cowboy’s (9–3, 6–2 Big 12) didn’t help themselves with their worst offensive performance of the decade. Oklahoma State was shut out for the first time since 2005 by an Oklahoma...

Penguin Earns NHL’s Top Weekly Honor

Last week saw Pittsburgh center Sidney Crosby taking home the NHL’s First Star of the Week honor. Fifth year star Crosby registered his second hat trick of the season for the Penguins against Rangers on Saturday. His three goals and two assists helped the Penguins net a 8 – 3 victory over the New York Rangers. Crosby gained No. 1 star recognition for games played November 23 – 29. The second star went to New Jersey goal tender Martin Brodeur who went 3–0 last week, allowing one goal in each game with a .963 save percentage. Third star honors...

Cavaliers Prove Strength Against Tigers

The Clemson Tigers were the home team favorites against Virginia on Saturday. LinesMaker betting action saw about 70% of the betting volume on the Tigers to cover, but the Cavaliers were in fighting spirit giving the Tigers a run for their, and their faithful bettor’s money. In a tough game for Clemson they managed to beat Virginia 34 — 21. Clemson could not manage to sustain drives early in the game while Virginia found a way to stay close. In the second half, neither offense could find much success, giving the Cavaliers a surprising...

Rutgers Squeezed by Orange

It seemed like a done deal for the Rutgers Knights. Nearly 90% of the betting action went with the Knights at LinesMaker and we can guarantee there were some very disappointed bettors out there. The game saw the Knights dominated by Syracuse Orange from the onset. Orange went on to an amazing 31–13 victory. Syracuse racked up 424 yards of offense while Rutgers had just 130.

Neimi Seals it for Blackhawks

Two unlikely players led the Chicago Blackhawks to their latest 1–0 victory over the Vancouver’s Canucks. Bryan Bickell scored his first goal of the season and Antii Niemi stopped 30 shots for the shutout. Blackhawks coach Joel Quennelville called Niemi’s play “Spectacular”. He kept the game scoreless through two periods until defenseman Brian Campbell set up the only goal early in the third. He lost the puck in a crowd in front but it squirted back for Bickell to tap-in a goal, his first since 2007, behind goalie Roberto Luongo. Niemi came up with several...

Betting Backs Colts to Make History

Another victory for the, yet to be defeated, Indianapolis Colts and their 19th straight win. It was a close game and host team Baltimore was kept out of the end zone. The 17–15 win was secured on former Ravens kicker Matt Stover’s go-ahead field goal giving the 1.5 point favorites, Indianapolis, the victory outright and ATS. The Colts now own the second-longest streak in NFL history. If they get another 2 straight games they could make history by beating the Patriot’s 21-game run (2006–08). The Colts also paid off big for the betting public as nearly 80%...
