Early bet­ting action has the Texas Long­horns at +700 to win the NCAA Cham­pi­onship and is a reminder that Kansas is not the only elite team in the Big 12. They have upgraded their back court this sea­son and recruited to two elite fresh­men — Avery Bradley and Jor­dan Hamil­ton to add to they already strong team.

Col­lege bas­ket­ball bet­tors also like Ken­tucky at +800. Ken­tucky has some of the best tal­ent in col­lege bas­ket­ball even though most of these are new recruits. An enter­tain­ing addi­tion for Ken­tucky fans in top recruit John Wall, who trans­ferred over with new coach John Cali­pari, along with recruit Demar­cus Cousins. Cousins will cou­ple with 6-foot-8 junior power for­ward Patrick Pat­ter­son to make one of the best inside duos in the country.

Other teams sports bet­tors feel will make a big impact in their con­fer­ences are Cal­i­for­nia at +300 to win the PAC 10 and Florida State at +1200 to win the ACC. long­shot bet­ting is behind USC at +4000 to win the PAC 10. All of these teams are very young and well coached. Out of the Cal­i­for­nia teams; Cal, UCLA, and USC any of these could eas­ily take down the PAC 10 championship.

Mary­land, Clem­son, Florida State, and Boston Col­lege are all a dan­ger in the ACC, but Mary­land poses one of the biggest threats led by Greivis Vasquez. They showed that they were a threat this year and they have a good chance of mak­ing a run deep into March next year.

One out­sider that could also be mak­ing some noise next March is Seton Hall at +20000 to win the 2009/10 NCAA Cham­pi­onship. After an awful start in the Big East Seton Hall fin­ished the year at 7–11 with some nice wins. They have a strong core of tal­ent includ­ing Jeremy Hazel and coach Bobby Gon­za­lez brought in a group of trans­fers who have amaz­ing poten­tial and will have a big effect on the team.
