College Basketball Betting Preview: Part 1

Lines­maker is look­ing ahead to the 2009/10 Col­lege Bas­ket­ball sea­son and here’s a brief insight on we think next year’s action will look.

Most pre­dic­tions for this sea­son have no sur­prises with the usual sus­pects in the top 25 list­ings. In the con­fer­ences it looks as though the top three spots in the RIP con­fer­ence will be held by the Big 12, ACC and the Big East and Kansas are already the bet­ting favorites to win the 2009/10 NCAA Cham­pi­onship at +400. Bet­tors also like Michi­gan State (+1000) and Duke (+2000) who both return as pow­er­ful as ever and will be strong con­tenders for the championship.

Kansas won the national cham­pi­onship in 2008 and then lost all but one of their key play­ers from that team, but they have reloaded with tal­ent. Cole Aldrich, Sher­ron Collins, Tyshawn Tay­lor, Xavier Henry, and Jeff Withey give the team an amaz­ing start­ing lineup, they also have the depth and the coach­ing skills of Bill Self to take them to the Final Four.
