Attract­ing more than 60% of the NFL bet­ting action, the San Diego Charg­ers were clear favorites over Seat­tle among Lines­Maker bettors. With the bet­ting line at -3.5, they failed to live up to the expec­ta­tions of the major­ity of bet­tors as they lost to Seattle.

Run­ning back Leon Wash­ing­ton tied an NFL record as he returned two kick­offs for touch­downs, as Seat­tle posted a 27–20 win over San Diego on Sunday.

Return­ing the sec­ond kick­off 101 yards to score, Wash­ing­ton broke a 20-all tie with a 99 yard kick with only 6:24 min­utes remain­ing. With this, he became the 10th player to return two kick­offs for TDs in a game.

The defense of Seat­tle attempted five turnovers. Two inter­cep­tions came from rookie Earl Thomas, includ­ing the one within the Seattle’s 10-yad line in the last sec­onds as Phillip Rivers tried a last-ditch San Diego comeback.

Quar­ter­back Matt Has­sel­beck com­pleted 19-of-32 pass­ing for 220 yards along with an inter­cep­tion and a touch­down for the Seahawks.

Phillip Rivers also tossed for a career-high 455 yards, while com­plet­ing 29-of-53 with two inter­cep­tions and two touch­downs. Anto­nio Gates com­pleted 7 for 109 yards and con­tributed with a touch­down for the Charg­ers (1–2).
