The New Eng­land Patri­ots appear to be the over­whelm­ing favorites to take the divi­sion and then Super Bowl 2010 and it all seems to be down to the skill and return of MVP quar­ter­back Tom Brady. The Patri­ots will be miss­ing some of their big names in defenses plus they have lost the fiery lead­er­ship of Mike Vra­bel and Rod­ney Har­ri­son, who com­bined for 109 tack­les. How­ever, Pro Bowl line­man Richard Sey­mour remains, but Tedy Bruschi has offi­cially retired. Jerod Mayo was an amaz­ing asset in his rookie sea­son, lead­ing the team with 128 tackle and if the team has a healthy Adal­ius Thomas as well, the unit could return to dom­i­nance. The Patri­ots brought in two cor­ner­backs, Shawn Springs and Leigh Bod­den, to fill in the secondary.

Lines­Maker have the Patri­ots at +200 to become the AFC Cham­pi­ons which they def­i­nitely will do with Brady and +400 to win Super Bowl 2010.
