Philadelphia Eagles NFL Betting Preview
The Philadelphia Eagles are a great contender to become the NFC Champions this season and it’s a 3 team battle according to the odds at LinesMaker with the Eagles, New York Giants and Minnesota Vikings all at +500. Predictions say they’ll be second in NFC East.
The biggest surprise this season is owner Jeffery Lurie and coach Andy Reid’s controversial decision to sign up Michael Vick who, by the end of the season, could end up taking plays away from Donovan McNabb which could cause problems for the Eagles, it put them under the public radar too after his dog abuse scandal. Also the tragic loss of defensive coordinator Jim Johnson has left their defensive in the hands of new coordinator Sean McDermott and the big question is can he live up to the teaching of his mentor? He will certainly be put to the test.
The Eagles had a strong finish last year and are ready to make this seasons push for Super Bowl 2010. They could prove a strong threat if Brian Westbrook is fully recovered from his surgery and stays healthy, he could lead them to have a formidable offense post season. At LinesMaker the Eagles odds are at +1200 to win Super Bowl.
