Philadelphia Eagles Betting Preview
In our continuing series on NFL team betting previews we look at the Philadelphia Eagles.
Following the move of Donovan McNabb out of Philly, the destiny of the Eagle’s now in the hands of quarterback Kevin Kolb, who is a former second round draft pick out of Houston. He will be under tremendous pressure to rise up to the high expectations of everyone, given that Philadelphia’s fans will not settle for a season of rebuilding notwithstanding the reality that over the last three years the old secondary is gone and the offense is exhausted.
Kolb’s performance will also have a substantial influence in the future of head coach Andy Reid, as a poor performance can effectively end his career as a coach in the NFL. This year is an extremely tough schedule for the Eagles, and most probably the final outcome will be a huge step back from recent years’ playoff runs.
Philadelphia meets the Packers in the first game of their 2010 NFL season and the betting line is currently a pick’em. Currently, the Eagles are listed at +2000 at LinesMaker to win the 2011 Super Bowl.
