Washington Redskins Betting Preview
One team that will gain tremendously from Philadelphia’s loss is Washington, as they have acquired quarterback Donovan McNabb in the offseason. However, quarterback Jason Campbell has moved out of the team.
Head coach Mike Shanahan, who is back in action after his one years’ break after being dismissed from Denver, will be guiding the Redskins squad. And with this, the squad will see some changes in the defensive scheme, as Shanahan favors a 3–4 style of play over a 4–3 one. Apparently DT Albert Haynesworth is not taking the new defensive schematics too well, as he and the team are in a huge spat over it.
Although the Redskins can’t be any worse than they were last year, they are certainly not a strong team. For this reason, the Washington Redskins are listed at +4000 at LinesMaker to succeed in the 2011 Super Bowl. However, for those who are looking forward to some fun in the games, this team is a must watch. Currently, the Redskins are 3.5 point dog to the Cowboys in the NFL week 1 lines, while the game’s total is sitting at 42.
