McCoy, Vick Rally Philadelphia to 35–32 Win Over Lions

The Philadel­phia Eagles defeated the Detroit Lions 35–32 Sun­day, thanks to LeSean McCoy and Michael Vick.

McCoy went for three touch­downs, fin­ish­ing with 16 car­ries and rush­ing for 120 yards. Mak­ing the most of his first NFL start after almost four years, Michael Vick passed for two touch­downs and com­pleted 21-of-34 for 284 yards. He played as a replace­ment for the injured Kevin Kolb.

The Eagles (1–1) enjoyed a 21–17 half­time lead over the Lions, as Vick threw two touch­down passes. Grab­bing four catches for 135 yards, DeSean Jack­son con­tributed with a touch­down for the Eagles.

Two of McCoy’s touch­downs came in the sec­ond half, ral­ly­ing the Eagles to a 35–17 lead in the fourth quar­ter. He gave the team a 27–17 lead with just  0:54 left in the third quar­ter with a 4-yard TD run and ran for 46 yards in the fourth for a 35–21 lead.

Stack­ing up 232 yards, rookie run­ning back Jahvid Best scored three touch­downs, two in the first half, for the Lions. In his first start for the team, quar­ter­back Shaun Hill com­pleted 25-of-45 through the air and went for 335 yards while con­nect­ing on a pair of touch­down passes for Detroit (0–2).

Attract­ing nearly 69% of the bet­ting action, the Philadel­phia Eagles were the clear favorites over Detroit among Lines­Maker bet­tors. Listed at –6.5, Philadel­phia did not dis­ap­point NFL bet­ting enthu­si­asts by defeat­ing the Lions.
