Tris­tan Thomp­son chipped in with 17 points and hauled down 14 rebounds for Texas, which made a come­back from a loss to Nebraska on Sat­ur­day.  Gary John­son pulled in 14 points and 12 rebounds for the Long­horns (24–4, 12–1 Big 12).

Diante Gar­rett pulled in 16 points for Iowa State (14–14, 1–12). Scott Christo­pher­son added 12 points for the Cyclones.
