NBA Betting: New York Topples Memphis, Fails to Cover Spread
The New York Knicks bested the Memphis Grizzlies 102–99 Thursday, even as Toney Douglas scored nine goals for a franchise-record 20 from 3-point territory.
Attracting almost 80% of the NBA betting action, the New York Knicks were the clear favorites against Memphis to win among LinesMaker bettors. With the NBA lines at –5, New York disappointed the majority of bettors even after beating the Grizzlies, as it failed to cover the point spread.
Douglas netted nine long-range field goals in 12 attempts and tied a team record. He poured in 29 points for New York, which broke a three-game skid.
Carmelo Anthony chipped in with 28 points and Amare Stoudemire contributed with 16 points for the Knicks, who attempted 36 shots from beyond the arc.
New York enjoyed an eight-point advantage at halftime and led by 18 points entering into the fourth frame.
Mike Conley pulled in 16 points for the Grizzlies, who lost for the third time in four contests.
