MLB Betting Favorite Kansas City Overwhelms Seattle

The Kansas City Roy­als dom­i­nated the Seat­tle Mariners 5–1 Thurs­day, thanks to Bruce Chen who allowed just one run in eight innings.

Attract­ing nearly 75% of the MLB bet­ting action, the Kansas City Roy­als were the clear favorites against Seat­tle among Lines­Maker bet­tors. With –125 MLB odds, Kansas City delighted the major­ity of bet­tors by defeat­ing the Mariners (+118).

Chen (2–0) per­mit­ted six hits, walk­ing one and strik­ing out another for the Roy­als, who touched a 9–4 mark in the begin­ning of the season.

Wil­son Betemit home­red and con­tributed with a sac­ri­fice fly for Kansas City, which were lead­ing after 7 1/2 frames when the game was stopped due to rain.  Alex Gor­don scored a pair of runs and a sin­gle in third frame for the Royals.

Doug Fis­ter (0–3) gave up five runs on eight hits, walked one and struck out five in seven innings for Seat­tle. Adam Kennedy added a sac­ri­fice fly in eighth frame for the Mariners.
