Injured Love Wants Back in Action

The Min­nesota Tim­ber­wolves were soundly defeated by the Port­land Blaz­ers on Sun­day night. The bet­ting odds for the NBA Cham­pi­onship cur­rently have the Blaz­ers at +1500 and the Tim­ber­wolves at +10000 to win the NBA Championship.

After suf­fer­ing a bro­ken bone in his left hand and under­go­ing surgery, Minnesota’s Kevin Love, is now suf­fer­ing on the bench as he watched his team be defeated by his for­mer team, the Blaz­ers. Last sea­son wasn’t the best for Love, as a rookie he strug­gled in just 2 games. This sea­son was his chance to redeem him­self on the court.

Love worked hard to get in shape for Min­nesota and returned to train­ing camp in the best con­di­tion of his career, only to have his hand bro­ken in a freak acci­dent in pre-season game against Chicago going up for a rebound. He hopes he will be back by Nov 21st to play at Port­land again but it’s unlikely as this will cut is recov­ery time by a month, which he shouldn’t risk if he wants to make a good come­back. Love was aver­ag­ing 12.5 points and 11.5 rebounds in exhi­bi­tion play before the injury.
