The Cav­a­liers clinched the NBA’s Cen­tral Divi­sion cham­pi­onship with LeBron James’ fourth quar­ter hero­ics on Wednes­day night.

The 99 – 94 vic­tory against the Indi­ana Pac­ers was the sec­ond straight out­right cham­pi­onship win for Cleve­land (54–15). They are the first team this sea­son to claim a divi­sion title.

The game was close with four min­utes, seven sec­onds left when the Pac­ers had closed to within one (88–87).  James showed his true power and ath­letic skills to put it away for the Cav­a­liers. They and the Lak­ers have odds of 7/5 to win the NBA Cham­pi­onship at LInes­Maker and 1/3 to win the East­ern Conference.

LeBron James has beaten Magic Johnson’s record becom­ing the third player to have 49 games or more with 30 plus points, eight-plus rebounds and eight plus assists. He had 32 points, nine rebounds and nine assists for the Cav­a­liers on Wednes­day. LeBron is 1/10 favorite for reg­u­lar sea­son MVP.

The Pac­ers have not had a good week fal­ter­ing in the last few min­utes against both Cleve­land and Mil­wau­kee. They have lost 13 of their last 17 games, includ­ing nine straight on the road.
