Tiger Woods to Play in the U.S. Open
Tiger Woods filed to play in the U.S. Open, by sending in the entry form for season’s second major. The tournament will be played June 17 – 20th at Pebble Beach, the same place where 10 years back he won by 15 shots tying the tournament scoring record.
Woods appeared in the Masters, following a five-month hiatus. This was Wood’s first event following his much publicized, self-imposed expulsion in November 2009.
Speculation on Tiger’s next Tour appearance began immediately after in his first post-scandal start where he finished fourth in the Masters. He also tied a Masters record by making four eagles, including two during the final round.
In the wake of Woods highly anticipated return, heavy betting volume has put him at 7–2 odds to win the U.S Open Golf Tournament.
