Mike Leake gave up four hits over seven innings to rally the Cincin­nati Reds over the Ari­zona Dia­mond­backs to a 7–4 tri­umph on Thurs­day.

Attract­ing nearly 70% of the MLB bet­ting action, the Cincin­nati Reds were the clear favorites against Ari­zona among Lines­Maker bet­tors. With the MLB lines at –126, Cincin­nati delighted the major­ity of bet­tors by defeat­ing the Dia­mond­backs (+119).

Leake (3–0) per­mit­ted sin­gle in the first, sec­ond and fifth innings. He struck out six while walk­ing two. Kelly John­son got the third home run of the sea­son in the fifth.

Stephen Drew scored an RBI sin­gle in the first to help the Dia­mond­backs take a 1–0 advan­tage. Cincin­nati responded with a four-run rally, with three walks and a hit bat­ter. Miguel Cairo scored a two-run sin­gle off Daniel Hud­son (0–4), Ari­zona starter.

The Reds got three runs against Hud­son, who was chased in the sixth. Jonny Gomes con­tributed with a solo homer in the fifth and Ramon Her­nan­dez had a dou­ble and a run in the sixth for the Reds.

Hud­son and John­son had a home run in the sec­ond and fifth inning apiece for the Dia­mond­backs for a 4–3 lead. Drew added the last run with a homer for Ari­zona in the ninth.
