The Wash­ing­ton Nation­als rolled past the Mil­wau­kee Brew­ers 5–1 Sun­day, even as Danny Espinoza hit a three-run triple in the sev­enth inning.

Attract­ing nearly 60% of the MLB bet­ting action, the Mil­wau­kee Brew­ers were the favorites against Wash­ing­ton among Lines­Maker bet­tors. With the MLB lines at –104, Mil­wau­kee failed to delight the major­ity of bet­tors after los­ing to the Nation­als (-102).

Espinoza chased home Ian Desmond, Jerry Hair­ston Jr. and Matt Stairs while mak­ing an opposite-field hit to snap a 1–1 tie for the Nation­als, who clinched a doubleheader.

Hair­ston com­pleted 3-for-4 with a solo home run for Wash­ing­ton. Drew Storen com­pleted two score­less innings to make his first save of the seasons.

Adam LaRoche added scores and Livan Her­nan­dez (2–1) allowed just six hits, fan­ning three with no walk for the Nationals.

Kameron Loe (1–1) was tagged with the loss for allow­ing Espinoza’s hit.
