NFL Betting: Green Bay Ousts Chicago in NFC Championship

Nose tackle B.J. Raji had an inter­cep­tion to rally the Green Bay Pack­ers over the Chicago Bears, 21–14, on Sun­day for the NFC championship.

Attract­ing around 65% of the NFL bet­ting action, the Green Bay Pack­ers were the clear favorites against Chicago among Lines­Maker bet­tors. With the NFL lines at –3.5, Green Bay delighted the major­ity of bet­tors by defeat­ing the Bears.

This vic­tory marked Pack­ers’ fifth appear­ance in the title game, their first since 1998, where they will bat­tle against the AFC cham­pion Pitts­burgh Steel­ers in Super Bowl XLV on Feb. 6 in Arling­ton, Texas.

Green Bay had a 14–7 lead in the fourth frame. Chicago quar­ter­back Caleb Hanie threw a pass deep in his own zone only to be inter­cepted by Raji, who rushed into the end zone in the last 6 minutes.

Hanie scored on a 35-yard touch­down pass to Earl Ben­nett with 4:33 min­utes remain­ing to cut Chicago’s point short­age to seven. How­ever, Sam Shields inter­cepted in a last-ditch drive to pre­vent fur­ther scoring.

Quar­ter­back Aaron Rodgers went 17-of-30 pass­ing for 244 yards with two inter­cep­tions and no touch­downs for the Pack­ers. James Starks rushed for 74 yards on 22 car­ries for Green Bay.

Play­ing in place of injured starter Jay Cut­ler, Hanie com­pleted 13-of-20 pass­ing for 153 yards with a score and two inter­cep­tions for the Bears.
