Trail­ing by nine points in the fourth quar­ter, Los Ange­les bounced back on Bryant’s jumper that tied the game and sur­vived LaMar­cus Aldridge’s missed layup in the last sec­onds of the final period.

Pau Gasol scored from 3-point range with 1:06 remain­ing in over­time to help the Lak­ers take a lead.

Bryant scored on six free throws dur­ing the last 18 sec­onds to seal the win.

Com­plet­ing 14-of-31 shots from the field, Bryant chipped in with 37 points, his biggest score since Jan. 30. Artest and Gasol pulled in 24 and 18 points, apiece for the Lak­ers, who won the first two games since the NBA All-Star Game.

Aldridge pulled in 29 points to pace the Port­land Trail Blazers.
