Marty Turco pre­vented 33 shots and ral­lied the Chicago Black­hawks to a 3–1 win over the Los Ange­les Kings on Wednesday.

Attract­ing nearly 65% of the NHL bet­ting action, the Chicago Black­hawks (-143) were the clear favorites against Los Ange­les among Lines­Maker bet­tors. Chicago delighted the major­ity of bet­tors by beat­ing the Kings (+132).

Vik­tor Stal­berg kicked off the decid­ing goal in the sec­ond quar­ter for Chicago, who pro­duced a goal in each period to snap a two-game los­ing streak. Stal­berg fired a slap shot past Jonathan Bernier while Patrick Sharp sealed it with 2:05 as he scored his ninth goal of the game.

The Black­hawks’ scor­ing was opened by Jake Dow­ell 5:16 into the game.  Justin Williams scored the only goal against Turco for the Kings in the first period.

Emerg­ing in goal for the third time this sea­son and the 10th time in his three-year career, Bernier pre­vented 25-of-28 shots. Kings backup Bernier was tagged with the loss for allow­ing three goals on 28 shots.

The win might prove costly for the defend­ing Stan­ley Cup cham­pi­ons Chicago, as winger Mar­ian Hossa left the game in the sec­ond period with an undis­closed injury and did not return.
