The Chicago Black­hawks posted a 5–0 win over the Van­cou­ver Canucks on Thurs­day, even as Mar­ian Hossa and Dun­can Keith net­ted two goals each and Corey Craw­ford had his first shutout of post-season.

Attract­ing nearly 70% of the NHL bet­ting action, the Van­cou­ver Canucks were the clear favorites against Chicago among Lines­Maker bet­tor. With the NHL lines at –197, Van­cou­ver turned out to be the cause of huge dis­ap­point­ment for the major­ity of bet­tors as they lost to the under­dogs Black­hawks (+181).

Hossa ini­ti­ated the scor­ing with a power play goal 5:54 in the first period for Chicago, which outscored Van­cou­ver in the fourth and fifth game with 12–2 score in total fol­low­ing set­backs in first three con­tests of the West­ern Con­fer­ence quar­ter­fi­nals. Keith fol­lowed with a goal within 24 seconds.

Patrick Kane tal­lied to help the Black­hawks take a 3–0 lead in the first.  Hossa and Keith net­ted one goal each in sec­ond period. Craw­ford made 37 saves in his sixth play­off contest.

Roberto Luongo gave up four goals eight shots for the Canucks, result­ing in his replace­ment by Cory Schnei­der in the sec­ond period.
