San Francisco 49ers Betting Preview

Everyone is contemplating if this will be the year when San Francisco 49ers will finally become a significant unit and get back to the playoffs. For the third straight season, the Niners are believed to be the team to watch out for in the NFC West. Apparently, Alex Smith will be having a second shot in proving himself as a former No.1 pick in the draft; despite the fact that quarter back Shaun Hill was the man last year. The most highlighting point in the NFL Draft this year was the offensive line, seeing that San Francisco singled out two starters...

Brewers overpower the Cubs, 4–3

Milwaukee Brewers pounded the Chicago Cubs 4–3 on Tuesday, thanks to Casey McGehee and Prince Fielder who had two RBI and two hits apiece. Ryan Braun hit three for the Brewers, as they collected 11 hits in game as did Chicago. The Brewers got the lead with RBI single from Fielder in the third inning. Cubs’ starter Thomas Diamond (0–1) was most disappointed by the loss as he made his major league debut. He had 10 hits, but gave up three runs on seven hits, three walks over six frames. This is Chicago’s seventh successive loss. The win was credited to Chris...

Atlanta Beats Mets

Tim Hudson gave just one run in six innings while Rick Ankiel who scored two RBIs, helping the Atlanta Braves to topple the New York Mets Monday, 4–1. Drawing over 69% of betting action, Atlanta (-138) was favored by the bettors to pass over NY Mets (+130).  And as anticipated, Atlanta posted their first victory of three games with the Mets, as they improved to a major league-best 35–13 at home. Ankiel marked his first appearance after being acquired from Kansas City. Hudson (12–5) limited the Mets on six hits over six innings walked three and stroked three, while...

Detroit Lions Betting Preview

There are no high expectations from Detroit Lions this year, after they managed to have a win total of just 5.5 games last season. Nevertheless, they have a long road ahead before they fulfill their aim of becoming a noteworthy team in the realm of NFL betting. Although, their performance will get a significant boost with the additions of DT Ndamukong Suh and RB Jahvid Best in the first round of the NFL Draft. Despite that, the team is in no form to become a strong contender for a divisional title. The high point of the year in the Motor City will be seeing...

Chicago Bears Betting Preview

In view of the fact that they have no real draft picks of note, Chicago Bears saw an incredible off-season. Even though they failed to make the same type of dash like they did last year when they smacked a deal for quarterback Jay Cutler, however they surely did manage to make the move of the off-season by acquiring defensive end Julius Peppers as a free agent. Teamed up with an already loaded defensive line, Peppers together with a linebacking corps could prove startling. The linebacking will see the comeback of linebacker Brian Urlacher as he essentially...

Minnesota Vikings Betting Preview

For the second straight year full of chaos, there is not a team having so many question marks going into training camp than Minnesota. The Vikings are apparently still clueless about who will be playing under center once the regular season kicks off. By the end of the season, quarterback Brett Favre will be 41 years old; he was clearly thrashed in the NFC Championship Game while displaying his age. Even if we consider that Favre will play, will he be able to deliver the same performance as he did in ’09, when he threw the least number of interceptions...

Giants Overpower LA Dodgers

The  San  Francisco  Giants completed a three-game sweep of Los Angeles with a 2–0 win, courtesy to Edgar Renteria’s two-run triple and Matt Cain’s 7 2/3 shutout innings Sunday. The win gave Cain his elusive first success after eight losses in 15 starts against the Dodgers. He scattered just four hits and a walk, while fanning seven to improve to 9–8 this season. Moreover, Brian Wilson marked his 31st save. Clayton Kershaw (10–6) gave two runs on six hits and four walks in seven innings, in his first start as he served five-game suspension for hitting...
