NCAA Basketball Betting: Memphis Topples Northwestern State
No. 19 Memphis Tigers overwhelmed the Northwestern State Demons 94–79 Wednesday, thanks to Wesley Witherspoon and Will Barton who keyed a late run to seal the win.
The Demons overpowered Memphis as they took a two-point lead in last 13 minutes. However, Memphis managed break out with a 33–16 run to end the game.
Witherspoon rallied the Tigers (3–0) to their third straight win by scoring 24 points and 12 rebounds. Coming off the bench, Barton chipped in 22 points, as Memphis went 29-of-35 from the foul line.
LinesMaker currently has Memphis at 30/1 to win the 2011 Men’s NCAA Basketball Tournament, while Northwestern has 200 to 1 odds to win the same.
Will Pratt paced Northwestern State (1–2) by scoring 23 points, while reserve Devon Baker scored 15 points. Louis Ellis had 11 markers and 4 assists for the Demons.
