The New Orleans Saints posted a 30–27 vic­tory over the Dal­las Cow­boys on Thurs­day, thanks to Mal­colm Jenk­ins who made a fan­tas­tic steal lead­ing to a game win­ning touch­down drive.

Attract­ing nearly 65% of the NFL bet­ting action, the New Orleans Saints were the clear favorites against Dal­las among Lines­Maker bet­tors to win this game. With the bet­ting lines at –4.5, New Orleans won out­right but failed to cover for the major­ity of bettors.

Rebound­ing from an early 17-point deficit, Dal­las took a lead with 5:51 to play on a 1-yard run by Tashard Choice. They seemed likely to win until they made a big play into Orleans ter­ri­tory with a 47-yard pass from Jon Kitna to Roy Williams.

Claim­ing a pos­ses­sion, Jenk­ins caught the ball as Williams almost reached the New Orleans 11-yard line pass­ing it to the wide receiver.

Drew Brees hit Lance Moore on a 12-yard pass, as New Orleans drove 89 yards in five plays. Chris Ivory chipped in 3 and 6 yards touch­down runs to pro­vide a 17–0 New Orleans lead. Brees com­pleted 23-of-39 for 352 yards and Kitna went for 313 on 30-of-42 passing.

David Buehler missed a 59-yard field goal try, which sealed the win for the Saints. Dal­las dropped to 3–8, as their two-game win­ning streak came to an end.

With this win, the defend­ing Super Bowl cham­pi­ons New Orleans improved to 8–3, trail­ing behind Atlanta for a half game in the NFC South.
