NHL Betting Favorite Calgary Wins Over St. Louis
The Calgary Flames downed the St. Louis Blues 4–1 Wednesday, courtesy of David Moss who scored the first two goals in the first stanza.
Attracting around 65% of the NHL betting action, the Calgary Flames were the clear favorites against St. Louis among LinesMaker bettors. With the NHL lines at –127, Calgary delighted the majority of bettors by defeating the Blues.
This game marked the longest winning streak of the Flames in the season and their fourth consecutive victory in a row. Miikka Kiprusoff won in his 500th appearance of NHL career.
Moss netted both the goals on the power play, including one in the first while the other with 1:29 into the second. Adam Pardy had a goal, his first of the season, in the last 1:22 minutes remaining in the second period to help the Flames take a 3–0 lead.
Jarome Iginla found an empty net for the Flames in the final 44 seconds. Kiprusoff had 28 saves for the Flames.
Playing just his seventh game, Philip McRae accounted for the only St. Louis goal. Ty Conklin prevented 16 of 19 shots for St. Louis.
