The shutout bid of Miller was spoiled by Tobias Enstrom’s power play goal 1:47 into the third. Thomas Vanek fin­ished the scor­ing in the mid­dle of the period.

Miller reg­is­tered 17 saves in his sec­ond vic­tory of the sea­son. Chris Mason pre­vented 38 shots for the Thrash­ers, who had won in their ear­lier two outings.
