The Black­hawks beat the Fly­ers in Game 6 to win the NHL’s top prize for the fourth time in their his­tory. Chicago was on the thresh­old of cel­e­brat­ing the cham­pi­onship as reg­u­la­tion time was wind­ing down but Scott Hartnell’s shot with 3:59 remain­ing in the third period to tie the game at 3–3 momen­tar­ily kept Philadelphia’s hope alive.

But just 4:06 into over­time, Patrick Kane engraved his name in the his­tory books, scor­ing from a sharp angle win­ning the Black­hawks the game and with it the Stan­ley Cup. The play­ers and the staff were over­joyed as this was the Blackhawk’s first Stan­ley Cup title in 49 years.
