Sean Avery’s reunion with the New York Rangers will report­edly end up being as short-lived as it was inactive. The Rangers waived Avery again Fri­day, accord­ing to ESPNNewYork.com. Avery had not played since Dec. 10, and had three goals in 15 games. He only joined the ros­ter on Nov. 5 due to injuries that prompted his call-up from their AHL affil­i­ate in Hartford.
