Reg­is­ter­ing three hits, Orlando Cabr­era sin­gled with one out to tie the game at 2 in the eighth, while Votto fol­lowed with a homer to break the tie. Drew Stubbs also con­tributed with a home run for the Reds.

Chris Capuano hit season-high seven in six innings for Mil­wau­kee with four hits, three walks and threw a season-high 105 pitches.

With this win, the Reds have reg­is­tered a seven-game lead over the St. Louis Car­di­nals in the National League Central.

Draw­ing more than 65% of the bet­ting action, Cincin­nati was the favorite against Mil­wau­kee among Lines­Maker bet­tors. Listed at –117, the Reds pleased most MLB bet­ting enthu­si­asts by defeat­ing the Brewers.
