The New Eng­land Patri­ots have traded wide receiver Randy Moss to the Min­nesota Vikings. In return, the Patri­ots got a draft choice.

Moss started his NFL career in 1998 with the Vikings and played for seven years with them before join­ing the Oak­land Raiders, where he stayed for two years. Moss has been with New Eng­land since 2008.

The 33 year old is a seven-time Pro Bowl pick, includ­ing last sea­son where he grabbed 83 passes for 1,264 yards and 13 touch­downs. Catch­ing four passes, Moss com­pleted 3 touch­downs with­out any recep­tions in Monday’s win this sea­son at Miami. He has reg­is­tered 935 recep­tions for 14,604 yards with 151 touchdowns.

He holds the sec­ond high­est career touch­down total in NFL his­tory, trail­ing behind the 197 caught by Jerry Rice. During his first year in New Eng­land, he com­pleted 23 touch­down recep­tions in 2007, set­ting a league record.

His pres­ence in the Vikings will def­i­nitely improve their NFL bet­ting odds. At Lines­Maker, the Min­nesota Vikings have 15 to 1 odds to win 2011 Super Bowl.
