The Chicago Bears are the ulti­mate Wild Card team this foot­ball sea­son and new quar­ter­back Jay Cul­ter, traded from Den­ver, will cer­tainly be put to the test. In past sea­sons they were cer­tainly noted for their strong defense but last year saw a marked changed, ranked 21st in the league in yards allowed per game and 16th in points allowed per game. They are seri­ously lack­ing in defense strength this sea­son in truth is seems to be dete­ri­o­rat­ing espe­cially after los­ing their two-time All-Pro safety Mike Brown open­ing up a large hole in the secondary.

The Bears have a lot of tal­ent on the team but whether they have enough to make Super Bowl 2010 is doubt­ful, they lost too many games whilst they were lead­ing, and it shows in their odds at Lines­Maker where they are +1500 to win. How­ever they do have bet­ter odds of +800 to win the NFC Cham­pi­onship but this is prob­a­bly due to their weak sched­ule play­ing six divi­sion games and 5 other teams under .500 last year.
