The New York Knicks posted a 120–116 vic­tory over the New Jer­sey Nets on Wednes­day, cour­tesy of Chauncey Billups who hauled down a rebound with 4 sec­onds remain­ing and fol­lowed by two free throws.

With almost 70% of the NBA bet­ting action on their side, the New York Knicks were the clear favorites against New Jer­sey among Lines­Maker bet­tors. Listed at –8 on NBA lines, New York dis­ap­pointed the major­ity of bet­tors despite win­ning over the Nets, as they failed to cover the spread.

Carmelo Anthony poured in 39 points for the Knicks, who held on to their 3 1/2 game lead over Indi­ana for sev­enth spot in the East­ern Con­fer­ence and are within two games of Philadelphia.

Billups chipped in with 33 points for New York, which won for the sec­ond time in a row. Amare Stoudemire con­tributed 23 points.

Anthony Mor­row scored 30 points to pace the Nets.  Com­ing from a six-game lay­off fol­low­ing an injury,

Deron Williams attempted a shot to tie the game for the Nets in the last sec­onds, but failed to do so and Billups got the key rebound.
