Der­rick Rose chipped in with eight points in the fourth period to rally the Chicago Bulls over Dal­las Mav­er­icks to an 82–77 vic­tory on Thursday.

Draw­ing around 55% of the NBA bet­ting action, the Chicago Bulls were the favorite against Dal­las to win among Lines­Maker bet­tors. With the NBA lines at –3.5, Chicago rejoiced the major­ity of bet­tors by defeat­ing the Mavericks.

Rose scored 26 points for the Bulls, who shot just 36 per­cent from the field but man­aged to limit Dal­las to 35 per­cent. Hit­ting only 9-of-28 shots from the field, only Rose man­aged to score in dou­ble fig­ures for Chicago.

Hav­ing a four-point lead enter­ing the fourth period, the Mav­er­icks scored just 17 points in the final quar­ter. How­ever, they man­aged to reach within one with a layup by Dirk Now­itzki with 2:17 remain­ing, but failed to score after that.

Now­itzki scored 19 points to pace Dal­las, which has lost seven out of eight games so far.
