The Chicago Black­hawks defeated the Pitts­burgh Pen­guins 3–2 on Sun­day, cour­tesy of Patrick Kane and Corey Craw­ford who scored the sole goal of shootout and made 24 saves, respectively.

Attract­ing nearly 65% of the NHL bet­ting action, the Chicago Black­hawks were the clear favorites against Pitts­burgh among Lines­Maker bet­tors. With –209 NHL odds, Chicago delighted the major­ity of bet­tors by beat­ing the Pen­guins (+191).

Craw­ford blanked Pittsburgh’s Pas­cal Dupuis and Kris Letang, even as Kane scored on a shot past Pen­guins’ Marc-Andre Fleury in the third round of shootout round for the tiebreaker.

Tyler Kennedy tried to score on last shot for Pitts­burgh, but was stopped by Craw­ford. Patrick Sharp and Bryan Bick­ell scored to help Chicago take a 2–1 lead. Pen­guins’ Brett Ster­ling scored late in the third period with 4 min­utes left in regulation.

Craw­ford pre­vented three attempts in the power play for the Black­hawks as they gained two key stand­ings points en route to join the play­offs of West­ern Conference.

Matt Cooke net­ted a goal for the Pen­guins, who have lost five out of seven games. Fleury made 29 saves in the loss.
