Tennis Betting: Djokovic, Federer, Murray Proceeds in Paris Masters‎

Defend­ing cham­pion Novak Djokovic, Roger Fed­erer and Andy Mur­ray all won the sec­ond round at the Paris Mas­ters on Wednesday.

Receiv­ing a first-round bye, top-seeded Fed­erer bounced back after los­ing points on serve with an ace in the last game of the open­ing set, as he trounced home favorite Richard Gas­quet, 6–4, 6–4. With this win, the 16-time Grand Slam champ Fed­erer improved his all-time mark against Gas­quet to 7–1.

In the third round, Radek Stepanek of the Czech Repub­lic will chal­lenge Fed­erer. The Lines­Maker ten­nis bet­ting lines have the Swiss mas­ter as the favorite with –1200 odds to win over Stepanek (+600).

Second-seeded Djokovic destroyed Argentina’s Juan Monaco, 6–4, 6–3, to enter the third round. Hav­ing defeated French favorite Gael Mon­fils in last year’s finale, Djokovic is listed at –550 at Lines­Maker to win the next round against local bet Michael Llo­dra (+325).

Mur­ray came on to defeat for­mer cham­pion David Nal­ban­dian, 2–6, 6–4, 6–3. The No. 3 seed this week, Mur­ray will play No. 13 seed Marin Cilic in the 16th round. With bet­ting lines at –400, Mur­ray is the favorite over Cilic (+250) to win this matchup.

Amer­i­can star Andy Rod­dick has aug­mented his chances in qual­i­fy­ing for the ATP World Tour finals as he won the third round by thrash­ing Finn Jarkko Niem­i­nen in straight sets. Rod­dick (-400) will square off against Ernests Gul­bis (+250) in the next round.
