FIFA World Cup Enters Semi-Final Stage: Germany Set to Play Spain
FIFA World Cup 2010 is down to its last legs and the semi-final matches are set. The semi-final lineup highlights a repeat of the Euro 2008 Finals, as Spain goes against the Germans and the Netherlands will try to get past Uruguay.
In the last match, Germany ran riot against Argentina, by handing them a 4–0 drubbing. Klose scored 2 goals for the Germans, carrying on his impressive run in all World Cup matches. Thomas Muller a rising young star put in another great performance for the Germans; however he will miss the next match against Spain.
Spain did not make it easy for themselves, as they almost passed through against a very impressive Paraguay side. Both the teams missed penalties at crucial stages of the match, but David Villa scored in the 83rd minute to help Spain win the game.
Germany will want to avenge their Euro final defeat to Spain; they will want to take advantage of a lackluster Spanish team, who are still to fire on all cylinders. Betting action is already at its peak at LinesMaker, with Germany enjoying odds of 21–10, even as Spain is at 15–8. The Dutch start as overwhelming favorites against Uruguay, with odds of 2–1, while the South Americans have odds of 12–1.
