NFL Preseason– Tennessee Bested Arizona 24–10

The Ten­nessee Titans downed Ari­zona 24–10 in an NFL pre­sea­son tilt Mon­day, thanks to two touch­downs by newly acquired Samkon Gado.

The Titans signed Gado last week, fol­low­ing an injury to Sta­fon John­son who will be out for the sea­son as he will undergo surgery for repair­ing a dis­lo­cated right ankle. Inter­est­ingly, Gado turned out to be an imme­di­ate bonus as he scored from 4 yards out twice within 3 min­utes in the third quarter.

Vince Young fin­ished with 9-of-13 passes for 128 yards, while Chris John­son ran for an 8-yard touch­down for the Titans.

Car­di­nals quar­ter­back Matt Leinart went 4-of-6 for 28 yards. He played for the first three offen­sive pos­ses­sions, before bring­ing in back-up Derek Ander­son who reg­is­tered 11 com­ple­tions on 19 passes.

Draw­ing nearly 62% of the bet­ting action, the Titans were 3.5 favorites against the Car­di­nals to win this match, and they delighted the bet­tors with an impres­sive win.
