As many crit­ics have noted, “mind numb­ingly bor­ing” may well be the best way to describe the New York Jets vic­tory over the Cincin­nati Ben­gals in the AFC Wild Card play­off game. The Jets beat the Ben­gals by 10 points with a 24 – 14 vic­tory. The Ben­gals con­tin­ued their recent slide since los­ing 3 of their last 4 games after they clinched play­off posi­tion in week 16. The Jets were 2.5 point under­dogs head­ing into the game. Despite their poor reg­u­lar sea­son fin­ish, over 60% of the bet­ting action at Lines­Maker was on the Ben­gals to cover.

The Jets now con­tinue to the sec­ond round of the play­offs next week­end. They are the num­ber five seed and they will be trav­el­ing to San Diego to meet the Charg­ers. The NY Jets are now play­ing their best foot­ball of the sea­son at the right time, but will have a lot of work to do to get past the Charg­ers and take the title. Lines­Maker has wager­ing odds of +700 for the Jets to win the AFC and at +1400 to win 2010 Super Bowl.
