NHL Betting: Vancouver Tops Columbus
Chris Higgins netted two goals and an assist to rally the Vancouver Canucks over the Columbus Blue Jackets to a 4–1 win on Sunday.
Attracting nearly 75% of the NHL betting action, the Vancouver Canucks were the clear favorites against Columbus among LinesMaker bettors. With the NHL lines at –152, Vancouver delighted the majority of bettors by defeating the Blue Jackets (+140).
Cory Schneider stopped 39-of-40 shots for the Canucks, who registered its first 50-win season and has an NHL-best mark of 50–17-9.
Christian Ehrhoff and Henrik Sedin also tallied for Vancouver, which at 109 points set a franchise record and tied a club standard with their eighth road victory in a row. With this win, the Canucks got a 12-point advantage over Detroit in the Western Conference and a 9-point lead over Eastern Conference leader Philadelphia.
R.J. Umberger scored the single goal for Columbus. Mathieu Garon turned aside 20 shots for the Blue Jackets, who lost their fourth consecutive game.
