San Diego State Topples Navy in NCAA Football Betting Action

Ron­nie Hill­man ran for 228 yards and scored on four touch­downs to rally San Diego State to a 35–14 vic­tory over Navy on Thursday.

Attract­ing nearly 55% of the NCAA foot­ball bet­ting action, Navy, with bet­ting lines at +3, was the clear favorite against San Diego State among Lines­Maker bet­tors, if not the odd­mak­ers. How­ever, Navy failed to live up to the expec­ta­tions of the major­ity of bet­tors as they lost to San Diego State in the Poin­set­tia Bowl.

The Aztecs dis­played a 568-yard offen­sive drive, as Hill­man scored three and grabbed a touch­down pass. Reg­is­ter­ing is first bowl win in 41 years, San Diego State improved its bowl record to 2–1 in the Moun­tain West Conference.

The Aztecs took a 21–14 lead at inter­mis­sion, as Hill­man scored on 22 and 37 yards touch­down runs in the first half.  The third period remained score­less, before Hill­man grabbed a 15-yard scor­ing pass from Ryan Lind­ley to end a 71-yard drive with a 1-yard run.

Lind­ley went for 276 yards while com­plet­ing 18-of-23 passes and two touch­downs. San Diego State grabbed a 14–0 lead in the first quar­ter, as Lind­ley hit Vin­cent Brown with a 53-yard scor­ing pass.

Ricky Dobbs accounted for 107 of the total 236 yards stacked by the Mid­ship­men (9–4) on 50 carries.
